Storyline

The Jewish organizers of the 1936 Olympics, Theodor Lewald and Carl Diem, wanted a huge PR win for Germany so afterwards, these gains would not be lost by treating Jews harshly. As a result, 70% of the German Jews were able to emigrate by 1941. But for those Olympics, and the press coverage generated by Jesse Owens, this outcome would not have been possible.
